UPDATED Vincent James Mugnolo, 23, of Beverly Hills, FL, was charged with battery (no bond). He was also charged with grand theft from a dwelling of $100 or more but less than $750, grand theft of $750 or more but less than $5,000, two counts of burglary of an unoccupied residence, and trafficking or endeavoring to traffic in stolen property ($19,000 bond). According to arrest reports, on Dec. 13, a witness observed Mr. Mugnolo pushing a lawn mower from under a neighbor's carport, across a street onto a trail that led to a wooden area, and when the witness confronted him to retrieve the mower, he allegedly struck the victim's face before leaving the area without the mower, which the witness returned to the victim. Other charges are related to a Dec. 14 theft of items valued at approximately $660 from another victim's home while she was at work. The stolen items include a 70-inch Vizio TV, a PlayStation 4 gaming system, an air compressor and a tool box filled with tools. In this case, Mugnolo was identified, by way of a neighbor's video surveillance, as one of two people who backed a red Ford Ranger pickup truck into the victim's driveway, about 8:15 am. The Dec. 14 burglary case was also related to a pawn transaction, according to an arrest report.

UPDATED Dawn Marie Cooper, 42, of Inverness, FL, was charged with battery of a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer without violence, and battery of a corrections officer ($11,000 bond). Deputies were dispatched to an Emery St., Inverness, FL residence due to the complaint that Mr. Cooper had been drinking alcohol and was yelling obscenities and making violent gestures with her hands. The report stated that a deputy heard Ms. Cooper make a statement that she was going to kill a person at the residence, she smelled of alcohol, her demeanor changed quickly between anger and sadness, that some of her statements made no sense, and one of the people on scene told a deputy that that Ms. Cooper had been drinking alcohol rather than taking prescribed medication, which led the deputy to believe she could harm herself or others. When she began walking toward the street after a deputy told her if she tried to leave she would be arrested, two deputies took her into custody. The report stated that she pulled away from the deputies and used her right foot to kick one deputy's left ankle, and at the detention facility, she again used her right foot to kick a correction officer's right shin and foot area.
