UPDATED: Philip Perez Doisy, 73, of Yankeetown, FL, at 12:18 am was charged with driving under the influence and driving under the influence with property damage ($2,000 bond). Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 14000 block of W. River Rd. in Inglis, FL, due to the report of a gold 1997 Ford pickup truck striking a parked vehicle. Witnesses told deputies, that prior to the traffic crash, the driver of the gold truck, later identified as Mr. Doisy, had been parked across the street from the incident location, drinking canned beer while sitting in the driver's seat of the gold pickup truck. The report stated that Mr. Doisy's gold truck had moderate front end damage, and the white Ford pickup truck he'd crashed into had extensive damage to the driver's side door and front fender. A deputy reported that Mr. Doisy was swaying and stumbling, that he smelled of alcohol, and his eyes were bloodshot and glossy. Doisy submitted to roadside sobriety testing and performed poorly, according to the report, and his alcohol breath test results were 0.140 and 0.140 (the legal limit is 0.08).
