MR. STACY CAPTURED. NOV. 3, 2021 IN TRENTON, FLORIDA

The Levy County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Levy County and the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit, is offering a $4,500 reward for information leading to the capture of Steven Stacy. On October 11, 2021 Stacy cut his electronic ankle monitoring device and fled on foot. He has been able to elude capture since this date.
Detectives believe Stacy may have been or is currently receiving assistance to evade capture from an associate in the Williston area. Stacy is a registered SEX OFFENDER and is on probation for his role in tampering with evidence in an on-going homicide investigation.

LCSO deputies recently responded to the 16900 block of NE 55th Street in Williston, Florida, west of CR 335-A, in an attempt to locate 38 year-old Steven D. Stacy of Williston, a registered sex offender on probation for obstruction of justice.
According to the State of Florida Probation Office, Mr. Stacy cut off his ankle monitor and fled into the area on foot. Witnesses saw Stacy running through a wooded area after jumping a fence in the neighborhood. Deputies used a K-9 to track Stacy into a swampy area, but lost his trail.
The Levy County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public assistance in locating Stacy. When lasst seen, Stacy was wearing black pants and a black shirt. He is 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds. If seen, please contact 911 immediately, and do not approach him.
