On July 23, at 2:26 am, Eric Russel Borgersen, 37, of Homosassa, FL, was detained by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.


On July 23, at 3:05 am, Mario Johnson Dominguez, 22, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with domestic battery (no bond).
 

On July 23, at 12:54 am, Christopher Brian Franke, 29, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office after deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the motorcycle he was driving on N. Gulf Ln. at W. Moss Ln. in Crystal River. The arrest report stated that Mr. Franke drove through the yard of a N. Gulf Ave. residence, and then traveled west on N. Laurel Valley Dr. and ended up losing control of the motorcycle. The arrest report stated that he resisted deputies when they took him into custody and then ran from them. He was charged with driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked, first offense; resisting an officer without violence, and fleeing from a law enforcement officer in pursuit ($3,500 bond). He was also issued traffic citations for fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer, and driving while license suspended, both with a mandatory court appearance.


On July 23, at 4:07 am, Jacob Earl Keefer, 21, of Homosassa, FL, was detained by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.


On July 23, at 11:05 am, Kenneth Wayne Presgrove, Jr., 41, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested on W. Meadow St. in Homosassa, during an investigation by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on a Citrus County warrant for violation of probation on an original charge of possession of contraband in a detention facility (no bond).


On July 23, at 1:49 am, Jeffrey G. Leppla, 45, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, charged with driving under the influence ($1,000 bond). The report stated, on U.S. Hwy. 19 at the intersection with U.S. Hwy. 98, in Homosassa, a deputy observed the driver, later identified as Mr. Leppla, conduct an improper start, "a burnout," under a green traffic light and green left turn arrow. The trooper rolled down his window and asked Leppla if he was okay, the report stated, and Leppla then asked the trooper if he was okay, since he (the trooper) was on the shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Leppla then turned southeast onto US 98, and the deputy conducted a traffic stop in his vehicle when it failed to maintain a single lane. The trooper noticed signs of impairment. Mr. Leppla submitted to roadside sobriety testing, performed poorly, and was taken into custody. At the detention facility, the report stated, Leppla refused to submit to breath alcohol testing. 
 

On July 23, at 9:13 am, Jonathan Gage Westerberg, 26, of Floral City, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a pick up order for driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked, second offense; and having an attached tag on a vehicle not assigned to it. His bond was revoked, as per the pickup order.


On July 23, at 11:30 am, due to an anonymous tip, Laura Beth Wilds, 32, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested on W. Meadow St. in Homosassa by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on a Citrus County warrant for violation of probation on an original charge of carrying a concealed firearm (no bond). An arrest report stated that she gave deputies an incorrect name and date of birth, so she was additionally charged with falsely identifying herself to a law enforcement officer ($1,000 bond).


July 22, 2020


On July 22, at 10:41 am, Deseraye Shanice Ford, 28, of Inverness, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on a warrant for fraud - illegal use of a credit card ($2,000 bond).


On July 22, at 7:12 pm, Travis Tyler Reisinger, 24, of Floral City, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on a Sumter County warrant for felony criminal mischief ($2,000 bond).


July 21, 2020


On July 21, at 10:37 pm, Jesse James Calhoun, 24, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with retail petit theft of $100 or less ($500 bond).


On July 21, at 7:55 am, Richard Lee Chester, 59, of Hernando, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with misdemeanor battery    ($1,000 bond).


On July 21, at 11:48 pm, John Paul Mutch, 46, of Lecanto, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked, third offense plus a conviction; and tampering with evidence ($8,000 bond).


On July 21, at 12:00 pm, John Graydon Pendergast, 35, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a warrant for driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked, second offense ($1,000 bond).


On July 21, at 1:40 am, Scott Seth Dale Penrod, 42, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office as a fugitive from justice on an arrest warrant (no bond).


On July 21, at 11:48 pm, Jeremiah Bean Strain, 33, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver; and possession of drug paraphernalia ($10,000 bond).


On July 21, at 12:36 am, Mary Patricia Yant, 58, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with domestic battery (no bond).


July 20, 2020


On July 20, at 4:00 pm, Burt George Massey, 51, of Crystal River, FL, who was already incarcerated at the Citrus County Detention Facility, was found to have an outstanding Citrus County warrant and was arrested on the warrant for driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked, second offense; and operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement ($1,500 bond).


On July 20, at  7:25 pm, Daniel Joseph Plassef, 30, of E. Killingley, Connecticut, was transported by Prisoner Transportation of America from the MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution in Suffield, Connecticut to the Citrus County Detention Facility, and arrested on a Citrus County warrant for violation of felony probation on an original charge of burglary of a dwelling or conveyance (no bond).
