July 18, 2020


On July 18, at 4:05 pm, Tammie Huffman Crandall, 61, of Chiefland, Florida, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office on an out of county warrant ($10,000 bond).


On July 18, at 12:05 pm, Bobby Miller, 35, of Chiefland, Florida, was arrested by the Cedar Key Police Department, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs ($5,000 bond).


July 16, 2020


On July 16, at 11:14 pm, Antolin Juan Baltazar, 22, of Williston, Florida, was arrested by the Williston Police Department, charged with driving with a revoked or suspended driver's license ($2,500 bond).


July 15, 2020


On July 15, at 7:41 am, Thomas James Byerly, 21, of Morriston, Florida, was arrested by the Levy County Probation Department, charged with violation of probation (no bond).


On July 15, at 9:14 am, Wayne Joseph Drake, 54, of Inglis, Florida, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office on an out of county warrant ($5,000 bond).


On July 15, shortly before 6:00 pm, Shannon White, 43, of Chiefland, Florida, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Deparment, charged with shoplifting from a merchant, second offense ($1,000 bond); resisting an officer without violence ($5,000 bond), and probation violation (no bond).


July 14, 2020


On July 14, at 3:23 pm, Marco Roman Gent, 37, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Department, charged with trespassing on property (not a structure or conveyance). His bond was set at $10,000.


On July 14, at 5:00 pm, Brittany Provett, 26, of Bronson, Florida, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Department, charged with shoplifting from a merchant, second offense ($2,000 bond); possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance (opium or an opium derivitive) with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver (no bond); and possession of drug equipment (no bond).


On July 14, at 10:36 am, Nevel Theron Thompson, 46, of Chiefland, Florida, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Department, charged with 2 counts of sexual assault or battery ($500,000 bond).


July 13, 2020


On July 13, at 12:23 am, Fredy Oziel Rivas-Morales, 31, of Morriston, Florida, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, after deputies were dispatched to a residence with the complaint of a possible domestic disturbance. Deputies arrived to find the victim with abrasions to her face and left shoulder and bruising to her left arm, she said were inflicted upon her by Mr. Rivas-Morales, who'd been drinking all day and had attempted to force himself upon her sexually. She said she'd told him to stop, and had fought back to avoid sexual contact, and he'd taken her cell phone from her to hinder her from contacting 911, but she'd broken away and had sought help at a neighboring home. Mr. Rivas-Morales was charged with battery, sexual assault without physical force or violence, and obstruction of justice ($190,000 bond).
