On July 13, at 8:13 pm, an Inglis duo was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) after a day-long investigation into the theft of a trailer and two Gravely lawn mowers from Pasco County.

The duo was Mr. Kimberly Lynn Baker, 33, and Ms. Michelle Lynn Baker, 31, who were arrested at their Daisy St., Inglis residence where the stolen items were recovered.

The arrest reports stated that a detective with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) contacted the LCSO with information, that due to recent trailer thefts in Pasco County, the agency had placed a GPS tracker on a trailer owned by the PCSO that was parked at 9707 US Hwy. 19  in Port Richey, Florida. About 2:40 am that morning, the detective said, the tracker showed that the trailer began moving, and at 5:20 am, the trailer had ended up at the Daisy St., Inglis residence of Kimberly and Michelle Baker.

LCSO deputies arrived on scene to find Kimberly Baker's Dodge pickup truck parked at the rear of the residence, and a black trailer parked near the truck that was loaded with two red Gravely zero-turn lawn mowers that had been reported stolen from Hudson Tractor Sales, located at 12601 U.S. Hwy. 19 in Hudson, Florida.

Deputies attempted to make contact with the Bakers, but they refused to step outside their residence or speak with deputies, and instructed deputies to get a search warrant, which they eventually did.

The serial numbers of the mowers were later matched to the serial numbers of the stolen mowers. About 12:40 pm, PCSO deputies arrived on scene and identified the trailer and located the GPS tracker.

During the investigation, a Pasco detective obtained video surveillance from nearby businesses that showed a truck that matched Mr. Kimberly Baker's truck, pulling a black trailer that was loaded with two red lawn mowers. Mr. Baker's vehicle was described as a white, full size 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 four-door pickup truck, with a white fuel tank in the truck bed. The arrest reports stated that the tag numbers matched the tag number of Mr. Baker's truck, and the tag was registered to Mr. Baker and his truck.

The trailer, valued at $1,200, was recovered and turned over to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. The Gravely lawn mowers were recovered and turned over to an employee from Hudson Tractor Sales. The value of the mowers was not stated.

During the investigation, Kimberly Baker and Michele Baker both refused to speak with law enforcement. Each was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle. Kimberly Baker's bond was set at $75,000, while Michelle Baker's bond was set at $50,000.
