On July 15, at 6:44 pm, Justin Lee Sanchez, 30, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office as the result of an incident that occurred at a Homosassa residence.

Deputies were dispatched to the residence due to the report of a fight with gunshots being fired, and arrived to find the garage open with an empty shell casing on the floor.

A woman at the residence told deputies that several people had met with Sanchez in Brooksville, earlier in the day, and he'd become upset they'd not brought certain items with them. She said Sanchez told her that he would come to their residence to get the items, and she told him to not come to the residence, that if he did, the items would be out on the street.

The deputy reported that the left side of the homeowner's face was "very swollen and bruised," and the homeowner told him that Sanchez had approached him while he was in the garage, threatened to kill him, and punched him numerous times to his face.  The homeowner said, due to the threats, he'd armed himself with a shotgun, which discharged when Sanchez lunged at him.

A witness told a deputy that she'd run to the garage when she heard the gun fire and saw Sanchez punch the victim, once, on his face.

Sanchez was charged with burglary with battery ($25,000 bond).
