Dedication held, Jan. 30, for new Female Veterans Monument in Inverness, FL

Inverness, Florida - On Saturday, Jan. 20, 2021, the Female Veterans Network unveiled its new Female Veterans Monument at the Citrus County Court house in Inverness. After three years of work, it’s completed, gracing the courthouse lawn, and Citrus County now has a monument dedicated to the women who have served in the United States military.

Cynthia Henderson, who led the drive to get ithe monument erected, unveiled the beautiful new monument, which is constructed of black granite quarried in Pennsylvania. It was engraved in Georgia, and then placed onsite by Central Monument Company of Floral City, Florida.
