Reclaimed Water Utility work is taking place at Sugarmill Golf Course. The purpose of the proposed project is to provide additional improvements at the Southwest Regional Water Reclamation Facility so that the high quality reclaimed water produced at the plant can be made available for beneficial reuse on the Sugarmill Woods Golf Courses.
The necessary improvements include a one-million gallon ground storage tank, a high service pump station, a booster pump station at the Sugarmill Woods Golf Course, four miles of reclaimed water transmission main to connect from the plant site to the golf course irrigation system, and associated instrumentation and control systems.
The water quantity benefits of this project include offsetting the need for groundwater withdrawals for irrigation purposes. For questions or more information on this project, please phone Jeanette Smith, Water Resources Project Manager: 352-527-7649.
