Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHS) has completed the divestiture of three Bravera Health hospitals, along with their associated assets, physician clinic operations and outpatient services, to Tampa General Hospital (TGH) for approximately $294 million in cash, inclusive of estimated working capital and other purchase price adjustments. The transaction was effective December 1, 2023

The three hospitals are:
    • Bravera Health Brooksville (120l licensed beds) in Brooksville, Florida - now TGH Brooksville.
    • Bravera Health Spring Hill (124 licensed beds) in Spring Hill, Florida - now TGH Spring Hill.
    • Bravera Health Seven Rivers (128 licensed beds) in Crystal River, Florida - now TGH Crystal River.

According to Tampa General Hospital (TGH), the health care landscape across the country is changing, and as Florida's population continues to grow, TGH is broadening its reach, with more teams serving more patients in more communities. Toward that end, the above three hospitals have joined the TGH family as part of the TGH North division, which extends the geographic footprint of TGH into Hernando and Citrus counties with these three community hospitals, which are the backbone of America’s health care system.

With the aquisition of the above three hospitals, the TGH North health system now includes five outstanding hospitals, 1,412 beds, and more than 14,000 dedicated team members. The expanded network will provide TGH with additional opportunities to strengthen its research and educational initiatives and further academic medicine through its partnership with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine.
