Don’t be fooled – stay safe! Citrus County Water Utilities is warning residents: If you have recently received a postcard in the mail from a company stating they are working with your local utility to provide a 2020 water survey, this company is NOT, in any way, affiliated with the Citrus County Department of Water Resources or the County Water System.

Stay alert to all suspicious door-to-door salespeople offering to test your water, along with mailings, phone calls and emails. Never give out personal information to people you have not initiated contact with, and never allow someone without proper identification inside your home or onto your property. If you have questions about any water-related contact with you, please call Citrus County Public Information Officer Cynthia Oswald at 352-527-5484.

If your residence is located in the Charles A. Black, Citrus Springs-Pine Ridge, or Sugarmill Woods County operated Public Water Systems, and you would like to participate in the lead and copper testing, please call 352-527-5427.
