UPDATED: Suspect in custody after shooting at Crystal River D.G. store; victim with multiple wounds
UPDATE, Citrus County Sheriff's Office, June 6, 2023, 9:00 a.m.
The suspect has been identified as Oscar Omar Delbono, age 67, of Homosassa, Florida, who was charged with atempted murder and is being held without bond at the Citrus County Detention Facility in Lecanto, Florida. Six shell casings were found on the scene of the shooting, the parking lot of the Dollar General store, located at 6798 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy. in Crystal River, Florida. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, with four gunshot wounds from a 0.45-caliber handgun: two to the abdomen, one to an elbow, and flesh wound to the victim's side. According to Madeline Scarborough, Community Relations Specialist with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, as of Monday morning, June 6, 2023, the victim remained in critical, but stable, condition.
