Airboat crash injures three in Inverness marsh, south of Moccasin Slough
Inverness, Florida - According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commissionan (FWC) spokesperson Karen Parker, a single-vehicle airboat crash occurred in the marsh south of Moccasin Slough, about 5:00 pm, December 27, that ejected two of the three people onboard. All of the occupants were transported to an area hospital, with one being flown via trauma alert. Two of the injured boaters were treated and released from the hospital, but the more seriously injured boater who had been trauma alerted to the hospital was expected to be released after receiving further care. The crash is currently under investigation by the FWC.
