John Adams, a man who alternates his residence between Citrus County, Florida and Canada has garnered nationwide attention, recently, for ads he's been running in Florida and border crossing towns on the U.S./Canadian border. One ad stated, "Biden, Prime Minister Trudeau: My fiance and I are separated by your closed border. It’s just policy to you, but it's prison to us."

As of Sunday, June 13, John Adams had raised almost $34,000 of his $50,000 goal on GoFundMe.com, to raise money for advertising to promote the opening of the U.S./Canadian border.

Mr. Adams had this to say in his GoFundMe fundraiser description:
GoFundMe: Help Support Open the Border TV ad
The US Canadian Border has been closed for over a year.  It’s separating Loved Ones, costing jobs, hurting businesses, and denying people access to their homes. It’s time for President Biden and Premier Trudeau to stop kicking the can down the road and make a plan to Open the Border.
This fundraiser will raise money to pay for television ads  to pressure President Biden and Premier Trudeau to stop talking and take action.
The campaign began with seven 30 second ads that ran on CNN and FOX News in the Niagara area and 23 ads on Spectrum News throughout Greater Buffalo. These ads started running on Friday May 14, and concluded on May 18.
We received enough initial funding in the first week to add 3 days of ads in Detroit and 5 days in Western Washington. I am confident that our mission has succeeded in the US.
Now it’s time to shift the ads into Canada and directly target Prime Minster Trudeau. Let’s keep these ads running until Prime Minister Trudeau views them as a political liability.
A saturation level of ads can accomplish big results.  A similar campaign in Florida convinced Governor DeSantis to end a ban on 250,000 Vacation Rentals, and it only took 18 hours of ads until he was ready to make a deal.
Ads in Canada are going to be more expensive because local spot television, which delivered our U.S. ads, is not available in Canada. We must buy broadcast channels.  They cover a lot more people, but are much higher to buy.        Please Donate if you can and please share this fundraiser with others (www.gofundme.com/f/open-the-border-now).
