The Friends of the Community Centers, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, donates all proceeds from its Circle of Friends Gift Shop to the Meals on Wheels Program, which provides meals to seniors in need.

This year during “March for Meals,” the Friends were able to donate $1,881.67 to Meals on Wheels, which is less than their usual amount, due to the gift shop closing as the result of the Covid-19 pandemic from March through October 2020. With this gift added to the organizations' previous donations, the Friends have provided a total of $40,983.60 to go toward meals for local seniors!

The Friends of the Community Centers, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that runs the Circle of Friends Gift Shop in the Citrus County Resource Center, located at 2804 W. Marc Knighton Court in Lecanto, Florida. The gift shop is run by unpaid volunteers. All its proceeds go to the Meals on Wheels Program. The Circle of Friends Gift Shop remains open to customers, with a limited schedule, selling quality gift items at reasonable prices.
