Covid has hit us all including our service organizations.
Our Lions Club annually sponsors the Yankeetown Seafood Festival which brings in visitors from around the area and impacts not only local businesses but also our service organizations.
This year the Yankeetown Seafood Festival was canceled due to Covid. Our service organizations rely on the festival to help pay bills and serve the community. Since it didn't happen, a good part of their annual income would be lost.
ENTER OUR HERO'S!
Louis Falco, the owner of Scooter Haven, realized the problem, stepped up, and created an event to benefit both the Lions Club and the Inglis Masons service organizations that would have been most affected by the festival cancellation.
Amazing things have happened with the implementation of our local Healthy Community Initiative and this is only one of the positive results. Working together and communicating creates opportunities to support each other and in turn support our community. Thanks, Scooter Haven Country Club and all of our community partners!!
