Marion County, Florida - A 68 year-old man from Dunnellon, Florida was injured in a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred at 4:40 pm on Monday afternoon, February 15.

According to Lt. Patrick Riordan, Troop B Public Affairs Officer with the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2011 Ford F-150 pickup truck, traveling west on State Road 200, about 500 feet west of SE 137th Court in Marion County (near the Marion/Citrus county line), and suffered a medical incident, which caused the truck to travel off the roadway onto the north grass shoulder, where the front of the truck struck a utility pole, which caused the vehicle to rotate counter-clockwise and overturn onto its left side.

The driver was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries

Duke Energy was contacted to repair the utility pole of an estimated $2,000 in damages. The truck's damages were estimated at $10,000.
