Citrus County, Florida - On Feb. 1, a pedestrian, a 65 year-old man from Hernando, FL, expired at a local hospital from injuries he sustained at 7:17 pm, Jan. 18, when he was struck by a vehicle on State road 200, at E. Brave Ln. in Hernando, FL. The driver of the sedan that hit the pedestrian was a 34 year-old man from Inverness, FL, who was wearing a seatbelt and not injuried as a result of the incident.
In its press releases, the FHP no longer identifies the people or the specific models of vehicles involved in traffic crashes, citing Marsy's Law, Florida's victim protection law, as the reason.
