Motorcyclist Dies on Hwy 44 Inverness

On Tuesday January 12, 2021 the following crash was investigated by Corporal A. Alvarado crash investigator, and
homicide investigator. Vehicle one (V-1) was a motorcycle driven by a 51 year old man from Inverness. 

V-1 was traveling eastbound in the outside lane on SR-44.  V-1 slowed to complete a right turn onto southbound East Boy Scout Road.  The driver (D-1) lost control of the motorcycle which overturned onto the roadway.  D-1 suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. Next of kin was notified, and no helmet was worn, according to the FHP report.
