Hernando County, Florida - A 62 year-old Homosassa, FL woman was killed in a single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Brooksville, FL, early Saturday morning, Nov. 14, 2020, at 12:35 am.
According to a press release by the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a sedan, traveling south on Citrus Way, approaching Parsons Road, and failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway. As a result, the vehicle exited the roadway and entered the west grass shoulder, where it struck a large boulder which caused the vehicle to rotate and strike a utility pole.
The woman suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. The press release stated that she was wearing a seatbelt and was also the lone passenger inside the vehicle.
Citing Marsy's law, the Florida Highway Payrol no longer gives identifying details of traffic crashes in its press releases.
