Two-vehicle, Inglis, FL crash results in minor injuries to both drivers

Levy County, Florida - A two-vehicle traffic crash, a rear-end collision, that occurred in Inglis, Florida on Thursday morning, Nov. 5, at 7:22 am, resulted in minor injuries to both drivers. The crash oourred in the northbound lanes of US Hwy. 19, 1 mile north of SE Butler Rd.
A press release by the Florida Highway Patrol stated that both vehicles were traveling north on US 19, in the inside lane, with a 2005 Nissan sedan, driven by a 62 year-old Inglis man, traveling in front of a 2006 Hyundai sedan, driven by a 39 year-old Crystal River man,
The release stated, that for unknown reasons the driver of the Hyundai failed to slow as it approached the Nissan, which caused the front of the Hyundai to strike the rear of the Nissan. After the collision, both vehicles came to final rest on US 19, with the Hyundai facing northwest and the Nisssan facing southwest.
The 39 year old Crystal River man driving the Hyundai was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, FL, and the 62 year-old Inglis man driving the Nissan was transported to Bayfront Health Seven Rivers hospital in Crystal River, FL. Each of the drivers was wearing a seatbelt, and neither carried a passenger.
