About 4:00 pm today, Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 14, the Florida Highway Patrol was made aware by the Florida Forestry Service of a large wood pile that was burning in the area of 12890 SR 24 in Archer, Florida in Levy Couny, FL. The fire is expected to smolder for a considerable amount of time and could potentially impact traffic conditions. Motorists traveling within the area are cautioned to reduce their speed and utilize low beam headlights during the night and early morning hours if visability is reducted in the area.
