Citrus Springs man killed and Dunnellon woman seriously injured in Ocala crash

Ocala, Marion County, Florida - A 54 year-old man from Citrus Springs, Florida died as the result of a two vehicle traffic crash that occurred at 8:43 a.m. on August 30, 2025 in Ocala, Florida.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 22 year-old woman from Dunnellon, Florida, was seriously injured in the crash; her passenger, a 1 year-old girl, also from Dunnellon, Florida, was not injured in the crash.
The child was restrained within the vehicle. it is unknown if the two drivers were using a seatbelt.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a sport utility vehicle (SUV), traveling west on SW 140th Street, approaching the intersection of State Road 200, where she failed to stop at the stop sign. This resulted in the woman's vehicle colliding into the man's vehicle, also a sport utility vehicle, that was traveling north on State Road 200, approaching the intersection of SW 140th Street.
The male driver was later pronounced deceased at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital in Ocala.
The woman and girl were also transported to a hospital, but its name was not specified in the press release.
