Inglis (Levy County), Florida - At 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, a Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch school bus was involved in a crash in Levy County when the school bus driver attempted to make a turn and struck a sport utility vehicle (SUV).

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the bus driver was a 72 year-old man from Dunnellon, Florida. He was traveling south on U.S. Highway 19 at SE 149th St. in Inglis when he struck the SUV that was also traveling south on U.S. Highway 19. The driver of the SUV was a 34 year-old man from Holiday, Florida.

At the time of the crash, the school bus had 34 passengers. No injuries were reported to the passengers or the drivers, and both drivers were wearing a seat belt, according to the FHP press release.
