Pedestrian killed by vehicle when crossing US 19 in Homosassa

Homosassa (Citrus County), Florida - At 11:22. on May 30, 2025, a pedestrian walking on U.S. Highway 19 in Homosassa was killed when he crossed the roadway, south of Ivy Place, and was struck by a vehicle. 

The pedestrian, a 64 year-old man from Branson, Missouri, suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.  

The vehicle was a Chevrolet Traverse sport utility vehicle (SUV), driven by a 55 year-old man from Homosassa, who was traveling south on U.S. Highway 19.  

Neither the driver nor his passenger, a 23 year-old woman, also from Homosassa, was injured during the incident.
