Beverly Hills, FL man killed, 5 passengers injured, in I-75 rollover crash near Micanopy

Alachua County, Florida - At approximately 5:40 pm on Monday afternoon, March 10, 2025, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the southbound lanes of Interstate 75, near mile marker 382 near Micanopy in Alachua County, Florida, due to a single vehicle rollover crash. 

Six occupants were inside the crashed vehicle, a sport utility vehicle (SUV).

The driver of the vehicle, a 33 year-old man from Beverly Hills, Florida, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. 

The other passengers, all female and all also from Beverly Hills, Florida, were transported to an area hospital: two with critical injuries, ages 30 and 6; one with serious injuries, age 13; and two with minor injuries, ages 8 and 5.

The press release stated that the driver and the adult female passenger were not wearing a seatbelt, and it is unknown if the girls were wearing seatbelts.

The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene of the crash by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, Gainesville Police Department, and Alachua County Fire Rescue.

The crash investigation is ongoing and being conducted by the Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Investigation Unit.
