Bronson man dies as a result of losing control of a truck and striking a tree on CR 102 in Bronson

Levy County, Florida - A 49 year-old man from Bronson, Florida died as the result of a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 8:15 am in Bronson. 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a pickup truck, traveling west on County Road 102 (NE 60th Street) west of NE 97th Court, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled over the center line and off of the roadway onto the left shoulder, where the front of the vehicle struck a large tree. After impacting the tree, the truck came to rest, facing west. 

The driver was declared deceased at the scene of the crash. The FHP press release stated that he was not wearing a seatbelt.
