One driver seriously injured, second driver later dies as result of CR 484, Dunnellon, FL crash

Marion County, Florida - One driver was seriously injured and another driver died as the result of a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:00 am on Saturday, February 1, 2025. The crash occurred on County Road 484, at the intersection of San Pedro Boulevard, in Dunnellon (Marion County), Florida.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a sport utility vehicle (SUV), driven by a 21 year-old man from Ocala, Florida, was traveling east on County Road 484.  A second vehicle, a sedan driven by a 50 year-old woman from Ocala, Florida, was traveling west on County Road 484, when the front of the SUV collided with the front of the sedan.

The driver of the SUV was ttansported to HCA Florida Ocala Hospital in Ocala with serious injuries. 

The driver of the sedan was transported to AdventHealth TimberRidge ER in Ocala, where she was later pronounced deceased.
