Spring Hill motorcyclist killed in Hudson, crashing into Crystal River woman's vehicle

Hudson (Pasco County), Florida - A two-vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Hudson on Thursday, October 3, 2024, resulted in the death of a 63 year-old man from Spring Hill, Florida and minor injuries to a 34 year-old woman from Crystal River, Florida and her 12 year-old passenger .

The crash occurred at 1:05 pm on U.S. Highway 19, north of Briar Oaks Drive. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle, traveling south on U.S. Highway 19, when he lost control of the motorcycle, crossed the median, and collided nearly head-on with a Ford Edge sport utility vehicle, driven by the Crystal River woman, that was traveling north on U.S. Highway 19.

The Spring Hill man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.  The driver and passenger of the Ford Edge suffered minor injuries and were not transported to a medical facility for medical attention.
