Ocala, Florida - A 44 year-old man from Dunnellon, Florida died as the result of a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred at 9:10 am onTuesday morning, August 13, 2024, in west Ocala.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a dump truck that was loaded with dirt, traveling north on Marion County Road 225A, just south of NW 79 Avenue Road. For unknown reasons, the dump truck crossed over the center line, exited the roadway onto the west grass shoulder and struck a concrete barrier wall wall outside the Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club.

The driver, who was wearing  seatbelt, was pronounced deceased on the scene of the crash by Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR)
