Citrus County, Florida - At 10:12 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2024, a 57 year-old woman from Homosassa, Florida was struck by a vehicle as she was riding a Sohamo E-Bike (electric motorized bicycle) in Inverness, Florida.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was traveling east on East Turner Camp Road, when west of North Jackadee Point, a vehicle traveling behind her, traveling in the same direction, overtook the e-bike and collided with it.

The woman driving the e-bike suffered serious injuries, and the driver of the unknown vehicle that struck her fled the scene of the crash ("hit and run").
