Homosassa, Florida - A 41 year-old man from Lecanto, Florida died as the result of a
motorcycle crash that occurred at 7:01 pm on Saturday evening, June 1, 2024, in
Homosassa.

        According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Harley Davidson
motorcycle, traveling east on County Road 490 (West Yulee Drive). East of South
Palo Verde Point, the rider failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, which resulted
in the motorcycle traveling onto the grass shoulder and colliding with a tree.

        The rider, who carried no passenger, suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
