Man killed in single-vehicle crash, striking tree, on US 41 in Morriston

Morriston, Florida - An 84 year-old man from Morriston died as the result of a single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred at 4:40 pm on Friday afternoon, Januay 12, 2024, in Morriston.
According to the Florida Highway Parol, the man was driving a sedan, traveling south on U.S. Highway 41, north of County Road 326, when his vehicle left the roadway and traveled onto the east grassy shoulder, where the front of the sedan struck a tree and then came to rest against the tree.
The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced deceased, on the scene of the crash, by Levy County Fire Rescue.
