Morriston man involved in motorcycle/deer crash in Archer, FL pronounced deceased at Shands

Alachua County, Florida - A 44 year-old man from Morriston, Florida died as the result of a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred at 5:08 am, Monday, October 23, 2023 in Archer, Florida.  According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2022  Harley Davidson motorcycle, travelling north on County road 241, north of SW 183rd Avenue, when the motorcycle collided with a deer, which caused the driver to be ejected onto the east grass shoulder.  He was transported to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida where he was pronounced deceased.
