Citrus Springs woman dies after crashing into tree off US 41 in Citrus Springs, FL
Citrus Springs (Citrus County), Florida - A 42 year-old woman from Citrus Springs, Florida died as the result of a single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 11:43 pm. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Jeep Patriot, traveling south on U.S. Highway 41, north of N. Citrus Springs Boulevard, when she lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons. As a result, the Jeep traveled onto the west shoulder. The driver over-corrected the steering, and the Jeep then traveled back across the roadway, entered the east shoulder and struck a tree. The driver suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
