Morriston man dies in single-vehicle motorcycle crash
Marion County, Florida - A 47 year-old man from Morriston, Florida died as the result of a single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 10:45 pm.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a motorcycle in the Morriston, Florida area, traveling west on Marion County Road 464B, approaching NW 157th Court, when he failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway, crossed the center line, and then traveled off the roadway onto the south grass shoulder, where the motorcycle struck a tree.
The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced deceased on the scene of the crash.
