Man dies as result of July 12 motorcycle crash on SR 480 in Homosassa

A 47 year-old man from Homosassa, Florida died as the result of a single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Homosassa at 7:15 pm, Wednesday, July 12, 2023, on County Road 480 (Oak Park Boulevard), east of Corkwood Boulevard
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a motorcycle, traveling east on County Road 480, when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. As a result, the motorcycle departed from the roadway, traveled onto the north shoulder, and collided with a tree.
The rider, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
