Found stopped in traffic on SR 589 in a medical emergency 

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Troop C

Pasco County, Florida - Early Thursday morning, July 13, 2023 at 4:52 am, Troopers and Road Rangers with the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) responded to the Suncoast Parkway (State Road 589), north of State Road 54 at the 20 Milepost Marker, due to a vehicle, a 2013 Nissan sedan, that was stopped within the northbound travel lanes.  

The  vehicle was occupied by a 46 year-old Lecanto woman, who was suffering a medical emergency, and her 14 year-old son. 

The woman was transported to an area hospital where she later expired.
