Vero Beach, FL woman killed while walking along CR 486 in Inverness, FL

Inverness, Florida - A 55 year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking along W. Norvell Byrant Hwy. (CR 486) in ‬Inverness on Monday night, July 10, 2023, at 11:25 pm.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 41 year-old man from Inverness was driving a sport utility vehicle (SUV), traveling east in the outside lane of W. Norvell Bryant Highway, west of North Forest Ridge Boulevard. The pedestrian was walking on the adjacent sidewalk, when for unknown reasons, she walked into the roadway, into the the path of the vehicle, and was struck by the vehicle.
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
