Homosassa, Florida - Northbound US 19 traffic in north Homosassa has been reduced from two lanes to a single lane of traffic, just north of S. Jump Court (heading east it becomes S. Stonebrook Drive) (see red dot on map), due to a void (hole) opening in the roadway on Friday evening, July 7.  Road construction on US 19  - from S. Jump Court in Homosassa to W. Fort Island Trail in Crystal River - has been ongoing since November 2018.

Southbound traffic on US 19 is unaffected.

Northbound US 19 traffic has been shifted to a previously unopened lane, located next to the median, to get traffic around the void area, then redirected back to the normal two-lane traffic pattern.

This traffic pattern on northbound US 19 is expected to be in effect through at least Monday, July 10, to allow crews to perform underground testing and develop the repair plans. Drivers can expect slow traffic through this area.
