Tractor driver charged with violating right of way of another tractor driver in Chiefland, FL crash

Levy County, Florida - A 65 year-old from Ft. Worth, Texas was issued a traffic citation for violation of right of way as the result of a crash that occurred in Chiefland, Florida on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:30 am. The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 19, at the Ag Pro John Deere Dealership, located at NW 6690 135th Lane.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the Ft. Worth, Texas man was driving a 2023 International Tractor, pulling a lowboy trailer, and had just finished delivering a farm tractor at the Ag Pro John Deere Dealership, and when he attempted to cross U.S. Highway 19 to travel south, the left side of the tractor trailer was struck by the front of a vehicle travelling north on U.S. Highway 19, a 2016 Mack tractor, pulling a lowboy trailer with a piece of forestry equipment on it, driven by a 55 year-old man from Branford, Florida.
A press release stated that the driver from Ft. Worth, Texas was not injured, and the Branford. Florida man received minor injuries, that each driver was wearing a seatbelt, and neither carried a passenger.
