Inverness woman suffers medical emergency, crashes vehicle and later dies at hospital

Inverness, Florida - A 36 year-old woman from Inverness died as the result of a medical emergency she suffered while driving in Inverness, at 11:44 am on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. The medical emergency caused her to lose control of her vehicle, a sport utility vehicle (SUV), while she was traveling south on North Corbin Avenue, south of East Ryan Street. The SUV traveled off the roadway and collided with a fence, then a tree located in he yard of 3828 East Ryan Street. 

The woman was transported to an area hospital, but later expired. Her passenger, a two-year old boy also from Inverness, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition with minor injuries. Both the driver and the boy were wearing a seatbelt.
