Inverness man dies due to motorcycle crash on SR 44 in Inverness
A 59 year-old man from Inverness, Florida died as the result of a single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred at 7:45 pm, Sunday evening, April 2, 2023 in Inverness. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), he was driving a motorcycle, traveling west on State Road 44, east of Davidson Avenue, when the motorcyclist struck a concrete median. Due to the impact, the motorcycle overturned and ejected the rider, who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. The FHP press release stated that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and he carried no passenger.
