Driver overturns tractor/trailer in Williston, FL; sustains minor injuries
A 39 year-old man from Live Oak, Florida received minor injuries in a single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred on February 14, 2023, at Williston, Florida.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred at 11:20 am on U.S. Highway 27 Alternate, at NE 136th Avenue. The driver and single occupant of a 2018 Freightliner tractor - pulling a flatbed trailer loaded with lumber, was traveling west on U.S. HIghway 27 Alternate, when for reasons to be determined, the vehicle veered across the median and then to the southern shoulder of U.S. Highway 27 Alternate where it overturned (see FHP photo of crash).
The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Shands Health UF hospital in Gainesville, Florida with minor injufries, according to the FHP.
