Man killed killed on CR 491 in Beverly Hills, FL when motorcycle struck by tractor/trailer
Beverly Hills (Citrus County), Florida - A traffic crash involving a tractor/trailer truck and a motorcycle, that occurred on Monday morning Sepember 26, 2022, took the life of the 40 year-old Beverly Hills man who was driving the motorcycle.
The driver of the trailer/tractor truck, a 65 year-old man from Bronson, Florida, was not injured during the crash.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash took place at 8:20 am on N. Lecanto Hwy. (County Road 491) in Beverly Hills, at the inersection of Truman Blvd.
A press release stated that the tractor/trailer truck was traveling south on N. Lecanto Hwy. in the outside travel lane, approaching Truman Blvd., and the motorcycle was also traveling south, adjacent to the tractor trailer in the right turn lane, when the tractor/trailer merged into the right turn lane and collided with motorcycle, which overturned.
The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
Thre press release stated that the driver of the tractor/trailer was wearing a seatbelt, and the driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet, and neither carried a passenger.
