Lecanto, FL man killed in single vehicle, Crystal River, FL crash
Crystal River (Citrus County), Florida - A 33 year-old man from Lecanto, Florida died as the result of a single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Crystal River, early Wednesday morning, September 7, 2022.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 1:00 am, the driver of a sport utility vehicle, who was the only passenger inside the vehicle, was traveling west on West Fort Island Trail, near North Seabreeze Point, when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The vehicle departed from the roadway, collided with a tree, and overturned. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the press release, suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
