Citrus Springs pedestrian struck and killed by pickup truck, early Tues. morning, Aug. 2
Citrus Springs (Dunnellon), Florida - At 4:21 am on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, a pedestrian in Citrus Springs was struck by a pickup truck and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash - in the 9100 block of North Citrus Springs Boulevard.
According to a press release by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) a Ford F150 pickup truck, driven by a 36 year-old man from Citrus Springs, was traveling south on North Citrus Springs Boulevard, and collided with the 53 year-old male pedestrian, also from Citrus Springs, who was walking or standing in the travel lane.
The driver of the truck suffered no injuries and was wearing a seat belt, according to the press release.
