Pedestrian, struck by vehicle on SR 200 in Ocala, dies at scene of crash
Marion County, Florida - A 60 year-old male pedestrian died as the result of being struck by a pickup truck, early Sunday morning, July 17, 2022, at 12:10 am, on State Road 200, at SW 60th Street in Ocala, Florida.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the pickup truck, driven by a 49 year-old woman from Dunnellon, Florida, was traveling west on State Road 200 in the center lane.
The pedestrian, a 60 year-old man from Ocala, was walking within the westbound lanes of State Road 200, at the intersection of SW 60th Street in a dark area, and the truck's right front section struck the pedestrian, who was pronounced deceased on the scene of the crash by Marion County Fire Rescue.
