On right is the bicycle the deceased pedestrian was pushing. The Ford Ranger pickup truck should look similar to the truck on the left, although its color is unknown; the truck should be missing the right head light and turn signal assembly.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP)
Morriston (Levy County), Florida - Florida Highway Patrol investigators are seeking information from the public about a hit and run traffic crash that resulted in the death of a 47 year-old woman from Morriston.
The crash occurred at 7:00 pm, Friday evening, June 24, 2022, on Levy County Road 337, 500 feet south of SE 59th Place, in Morriston, Florida
According to a FHP press release, a Ford Ranger pickup truck was travelling south on CR 337, while the woman killed in the crash was pushing a white in Victoria bicycle, walking in a southbound direction on the right edge of County Road 337. For unknown reasons, the pickup truck struck the woman, which caused her to be propelled onto the west grass shoulder. The vehicle fled from the scene of the crash. The woman was pronounced deceased on the scene of the crash.
The vehicle that struck the pedestrian is a 2006 to 2011 Ford Ranger pickup truck, of an unknown color, that should be missing the right head light and turn signal assembly.
