FHP issues motorist advisory - east of Cedar Key, FL - due to prescribed burn at SR 24 and CR 347
Motorist Advisory issued at 9:30 am, Wednesday, April 10, 2022:
There is currently an active 117-acre prescribed burn, just east of Cedar Key in the area of Cedar Key Scrub State Park, on SW State Road 24 and County Road 347, within Levy County, Florida.
This prescribed burn may affect travel on Levy County Road State Road 24 due to smoke on nearby roadways throughout the night and into the morning hours of Thursday, April 21.
Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in the area, as visibility may deteriorate quickly, especially during the night time and early morning hours. Motorists traveling in the area are advised to reduce speed and utilize low beam headlights in order to adapt to changing roadway conditions.
